Claudio Goulart (Porto Alegre, 1954 – Amsterdam, 2005)
Goulart studied Art and Architecture in Brazil and then moved to Amsterdam, where he worked and lived from 1976 to his death in 2005. During these 29 years, he participated in several exhibitions and international artistic projects, including art biennials. His work has been exhibited in Spain, Portugal, England, Cuba, Switzerland, Mexico, Japan, Germany and France.
Here we present three pieces of his collection of inventive and sometimes ironical “light artifacts” constructed with recycled lamp parts, other objects and materials found during his frequent visits to Amsterdam’s flflea markets.
