Josep M. Pastó Miró (Les Borges Blanques, 1964)
Although professionally dedicated to telecommunications, Josep M. Pastó studied drawing and began working with clay at a very early age, he studied in private academies and such as the School of Applied Arts and Artistic Trades of Tàrrega, and has never stopped working with wood, clay and assemblage, driven by his need for artistic expression. This same need means that since he was young, he has dedicated himself to disassembling all kinds of objects to understand their operation. At Drap-Art’20 he presents La Descarada, an ant that is part of a series of Mutant Animals that arose from the continuous contamination and degradation of conditions on Earth, due to the climate change that we are experiencing, created from recycled items such as butane gas bottles, golf clubs and paella pans.
