Mayte Vieta (Blanes, 1971)
Mayte Vieta has always tried to turn reality around, perhaps because only in this way can we get to contemplate it in its most raw and stark appearance.
Her work is an invitation to contemplation, undoubtedly a small wink, a journey that envelops the viewer, with the intention that he himself formulates his own answers.
Always linked to life, and after death, she goes towards a complex study of feelings rooted in pain and the concern to find new proposals for languages and materials in order to show her obsessions, fears and doubts.
