Indira Urrutia Zúñiga

As a teenager Indira became interested in architecture and developed a deep passion for photography. Later, she obtained her Bachelor’s degree and perfected her photography. Since then, she followed her passion for photography with explorations in other formats such as; mixed media, installation, experimental video and, since 2015, metal weaving.
Her work has been exhibited internationally in group and solo presentations, including; The de Young Museum, Root Division, Mission Cultural Center, San Francisco Symphony, in the United States; at the Consejo Nacional de la Cultura y las Artes, Casa Museo Pablo Neruda in Chile; She was invited to the VII Biennial of Art and Design in Spain; and at the Fontecchio International Airport Gallery in Italy.
“My work inhabits the relationship between social fabric and interaction to create a conversation and narratives of stories for new meaning. “Art gives me the freedom to explore my inner self juxtaposed with my outer self”.
